Discovery Club – 3D Lego Mosaics!

Mosaics are the art of making pictures with small pieces of tiles, glass or….LEGO bricks! In this workshop, we will create our own Lego art gallery by making 3D Lego mosaics inspired by famous paintings.
The Discovery Club is facilitated by artist Órla Bates.

'In our Cool 3D Mini-Universe workshop children will take inspiration from well known stories to make their own characters and fun imaginative worlds for them to live in. They will explore the possibilities of a variety of materials, including clay, and will experiment with surface mark making and texture. Every figure will be an individual interpretation of a character. Their individual worlds will be put together to create a mini universe where one tale leads into the next, making a new story, encouraging imagination and creativity in the process.'

Tues 10th – Fri 13th April 10.30 – 1.00pm Ages 8 – 15 yrs
Participants start with an empty studio, a camera and their imaginations. Within the first two days they will have created a shooting script and tried their hand at camera work. By the end of the camp they will have performed and recorded their movie and premiered it to family and friends.
