St. Patrick may have chased the serpents out, but now that the parade’s out of the way, slither over to the Cabaret, where the post-Paddy’s day bash will get down with some real Irish culture.

 This cabaret's line up includes  a range of music, comedy, satire, new fiction, film, dance, trad music, and all bilingual - in honour of Seachtain na Gaeilge!  For instance, for a contemporary take on the Irish language, our Cine Sweetcake presentation, "Fiorghael" by Macdara Vallely, from Zanzibar Films, is a short comic psychological thriller on what makes people learn it or loathe it! 

Some quality traditional music and dance comes in the form of the excellent performance group, Celtic Roots - with some non-Irish dance provided by Reka of Khelashi.  Our cutting edge fiction is read by writer Martin Malone ("The Broken Cedar" and "The Mango Wars") and for comedy, Italian mime and bufon performer Carlo Jacucci does the honours.  Our two special out of town guests, Alice Jago and Mark Conway, provide original new music, and with Helena Mulkerns and Cyril Murphy delivering some classic jazz and blues, we hope all the angles are covered.   We even have a spot prize: courtesy of the elegant TASTE Restaurant, Wexford.
