The Eclipse – Wexford Film Premiere Fundraiser

The Eclipse, written by Billy Roche and Conor McPherson and based on Roche’s ‘Tales from Rainwater Pond’ awarded Best Film, Best Screenplay, and Best Supporting Actor (Aidan Quinn) at the Irish Film and Television Academy Awards 2010. This is a richly atmospheric story of love, loss, loneliness, and one man's need to begin life again. Ciaran Hinds plays a widower living in an Irish seaside town who is struggling to adjust to his new role as the sole caretaker of his two children. When he volunteers at a local literary festival, his life converges with an author of supernatural fiction and a self-obsessed novelist (Aidan Quinn) drawing them into a life-altering collision. All proceeds to Lay Me Down Softly production written and directed by Billy Roche at WAC Oct 12th-23rd.
