This practical hands-on, DES approved course looks at the role of the Visual Art Curriculum in the classroom and how children and teachers learn to understand, appreciate and make art. Through a series of practical, hands-on workshops and group discussions with art teacher Órla Bates, the course provides teachers with first-hand experience to develop skills and discover the expressive possibilities of a wide variety of materials, in the six strands.
