NeedleArt Club – Tapestry Weaving

Booking fee: €95.00 for course
In this series of weaving workshops participants will learn to set up a weaving frame and weave a tapestry sampler. This will include colour blending, weaving shapes and textures, and drawing onto the threads to follow a shape. Participants will have the opportunity to complete a sampler and move on to design and weave a small tapestry in the course of the series of workshops. Other techniques will include how to finish a fringe and hem, how to finish the back of the tapestry, and how to mount and display your finished woven piece. Our Tapestry Weaving course will be facilitated by local artist Terry Dunne.
