Family Willow Lantern Workshop

Family Willow Lantern workshops – Sunday 29th Oct  11am-1pm and 2-4pm – Suitable for all ages.Come and take part in a willow lantern making workshop with artist Caoimhe Dunn and learn the techniques she also uses to create large scale lanterns, puppets and props for outdoor spectacles!In this workshop you will create a willow structure, learn how willow bends and changes with manipulation and soaking. After creating your own unique design, bending and shaping the willow – participants will cover their structure in wet strength tissue and add lights to complete their lantern. A unique experience for a family to enjoy together!All participants are invited to participate in the lantern procession with their lanterns on  Monday 30th October! Join us and Bloco Garman drummers to mark Halloween!
