Formed in late 2024, Nothing’s Perfect brings together the Walshe family (Bob, Robby, and Neil) from The Rower, Co Kilkenny, renowned Wexford singer-songwriter Eddie Doyle, and multi-instrumentalist Daniel Coonan from Roscrea, Co Tipperary. Bob Walshe and his two sons, Robby and Neil have been involved in the live music scene for many years now. Together and with other musicians, they have been singing in Kilkenny and Wexford pubs for the past decade together and they all share the same passion for music and song. Eddie Doyle is a well-known and respected singer, musician and composer. Eddie is the composer of the well-loved song ‘Underneath the Blackstairs’ and also ‘They Sailed Away’, which was recently covered by The Green Road. Daniel Coonan is a musician with great appreciation for many musical genres. Daniel has not only won at multiple Fleadh Ceoil competitions since an early age on tin whistle and fiddle but also holds an L.C.V.M. in violin teaching and won a gold medal through the R.I.A.M. exams. He has also played for former American president Barack Obama along with former Irish president Michael D. Higgins. Blending a combination of acoustic and traditional instruments with three distinct vocal textures, they bridge the gap between foot-stomping trad sessions and soul-stirring Irish ballads. Performing in local pubs across Carlow, Wexford and Kilkenny, Nothing’s Perfect delivers an authentic, high-energy sound that honours the past while carving out a unique space in the modern Irish folk scene.
