After the great success of Tales from the Quay last year in association with Paul Walsh Productions, the One Voice Theatre Festival is back with a new offering "Shadows and Street Corners", to be held over two weekends in the Annexe Courtyard @ Wexford Arts Centre (3 John's Gate Street). An exploration of the slightly more strange and unexpected parts of Irish life, this time the stories also span history from 1798 through penal times, through the 1930s and 50s and right up to modern day. These monologues are funny, dramatic, exciting and very strange and unexpected human. Eight pieces written by Thomas O'Leary, Sheila Forsey, Danielle Fortune, Hannah McNiven, Dominic Palmer, Peter Murphy, Gerard Young and Ronan Berry and performed by Ronan Berry, Jack Matthews, Fintan Kelly, Bronagh Hogan, Niamh Cullen, Peter Murphy, Phil Lyons and Seona O'Connor with live music by Gary Stephens and all pieces directed by Paul Walsh. The short works will be directed by Paul Walsh and presented outside in The Annexe Courtyard at 3 John Gate Street featuring the old town wall. A unique site-specific production not to be missed.
