Children from 7-12/13 years welcome Fee: €65 (small reduction for siblings)Dates/Times: August 10th – 13th at 10.30am – 1pm each dayWeather/Permission permitting we may be able to present the children’s work live for family members at 1pm on the last day (Friday) of each camp. The performance will last approx. 10-15 minutes. However, if this is not possible, we will be providing families with a free DVD of the performance, recorded in our ‘Summer Camp Bubble’ from the auditorium on the final day. What We Do.The children collaborate in a story-making session to create their very own epic tale. Then they draw and paint scenes and characters from their imaginings to help visualise and develop the themes of the piece. Then they improvise scenes and scenarios through various drama techniques; improvisation, role-play, character development exercises and more. Then they design and create a costume for their own awe-inspiring character. They play, practice and rehearse for the presentation and·then, on the final day, they perform their epic theatrical story concluding in a 10-minute standing ovation and earth-shattering applause!!Not to mention great fun with drama games and exercises and a ‘print your own t-shirt’ session. What To Bring…·Water (no fizzy drinks, please!)·A nourishing snack for break time (these guys will need the energy!) Clothes that are ok to paint in (a favourite out-fit might not survive!)·A white T-shirt for the ‘print your own t-shirt’ bit.·Loads of ideas!! :DThings to Know…·Covid 19 Government Guidelines will be strictly adhered to for the duration of the Summer Camp – please see attached policy.·If your child is unable to attend after booking a place, please inform The Presentation Arts Centre as soon as you are aware. A cancellation fee will apply (€10) and the remainder will be refunded in full.·We are fully Garda Vetted, a family not-for-profit and have been involved in delivering art, drama and theatre education in schools, theatres, arts centres and beyond for 25 and 50 years respectively. Many of our former students have gone on to enjoy successful careers and other adventures in the arts as avid ‘explorers of the imagination’.Hi Everyone – long message alert but please read through! 😊Thanks for booking a place on our Creative Arts Camps – we're delighted to have the children on board! 😁As you know, the latest guidelines restrict indoor activities so we wanted to get in touch to let you know that our camps are definitely going ahead, though we will be working at the venues in their outdoor spaces with full access to their bathroom facilities up until 19th July, at which point we hope to be allowed to operate indoors. All outdoor safety measures/requirements and Covid 19 directives will be adhered to.If the outdoor arrangement doesn't suit you/your child please let us know asap. We can offer a place at a later camp in Wexford or Enniscorthy which we are hoping will be indoors. If that also doesn't suit we will fully refund any fees paid.We have years of experience facilitating outdoor arts events and are fully prepared for all eventualities. We are looking forward to sharing the creativity these Creative Arts Summer Camps have in store!Creative Arts OutsideJust like going off for a picnic or a day at the seaside, when the weather is a factor, we need to be prepared! If you're happy to go ahead, we would have to ask that, in the event of bad weather developing during camp, someone is on standby to collect your child(ren) – (‘bad weather’ would not include light rain or breezy conditions, for example). The children would also need to come prepared for changeable weather (bring a jumper/jacket/suitable footwear etc.). If the weather is unworkable from morning, we may have to cancel the day's activities. If this does happen, we will provide refunds for any time lost.Participating children will need a nutritious snack and plenty of water. And don't forget a dollop of sunscreen ☀️!Due to reduced access to facilities, we will not be able to paint, but have plenty of alternative materials to make great art with and with which to decorate epic, dramatic costumes. 🎨😁Drama and story-making elements will not be affected by our new working environment. In fact, participating in outdoor drama/theatre is one of the most fantastic 'creative arts' experiences a young (or otherwise) person could hope to have. 🎭😁Please don't hesitate to get in touch with Abi with any questions, suggestions or concerns on: 086 310 3624.Thanks so much and we look forward to seeing you all soon. 😁🎭☀️🎨😁 Abi & MichaelTestimonials ***** Lorraine: Thanks so much for a brilliant camp, My daughter was buzzing the first day I collected her & she loved it all 🥰***** Niamh: Abi and Michael, thanks so much for the lovely time you gave the girls at Summer Camp.
