TANGO CABARET with DUO VITO SPUTNIK – ARGENTINE TANGO MUSIC CONCERT Dance class/concert and Social tango danceOpening of the Argentine Tango Weekend in Wexford.Join us for a night of Argentine tango, organised by Tango classes Lucia & Gerry, who have made tango their life and passion, in collaboration with Tango Wexford, and want to share this experience with you.Introductory dance class, social dancing and live Argentine Tango Concert with Duo Vito Sputnik, a dynamic duo featuring bandoneón and piano. Vito Sputnik form part of a new generation of tango musicians from Rosario, Argentina, shaped by the Orquesta Escuela de Tango. Since 2011, they have performed across Argentina and neighboring countries. They began touring Ireland and Scotland in 2022, with a second tour in 2023.Their repertoire draws from early 20th-century tango orchestras, bringing back the essence of the tango that once filled the streets and daily life of Buenos Aires.Bandoneonist: Agustina Taborda From a very young age she began to dance tango and was captivated by the bandoneón’s sound, which she now plays with remarkable skill. She graduated with a degree in Bandoneón from the National University of Rosario and currently resides in Galway, Ireland.Pianist: Ernesto Inouye Ernesto began his musical journey on his grandmother’s piano, inspired by family traditions.
