Don’t forget your Ukes! Ukulele Tuesday – is the gigging offshoot of The Stag’s Head’s weekly ukulele session of the same name. They are a lively bunch, who mash-up contemporary and classic hits, and take the ukulele into uncharted waters. The group is a regular feature at music festivals across the island of Ireland (and beyond!), including appearances at the Temple Bar Trad Fest, the Ukulele Hooley, and TedxFulbrightDublin. Come and join them every Tuesday in the Stag's Head for more Ukulele madness."The Ukeristic Congress – are a five-piece ukulele band. Gigging since 2009, they are festival favourites at the Dublin ukulele festival – Ukuhooley by the Sea – where they have performed on numerous occasions. They also stole the show at the ukulele festival of Great Britain in Cheltenham. Having honed their craft with a two-year residency in Whelan’s of Wexford Street, they regularly feature at the Irish Ukulele festivals, and many musical festival events up and down the country. The Ukeristics have been featured with live spots on Newstalk, Nova, Dublin City FM and Radio na Life. Favoured by RTEs Nationwide, they've guested on many TV and radio shows over the years and were lucky to be selected to play on The Gig Train for the RTE big music week. Their music is a mix of beautifully crafted originals and carefully curated covers. There's plenty of feel good tunes in their repertoire, all with that unique Ukeristic ukulele interpretation. Ragtime, Folk, Pop, Rock ‘N’ Roll, Country, Blues, Punk, R&B, Swing, Grunge and Metal. Do they know the piano’s on your foot? You hum it, they’ll play it.
