Saturday Art Club

Times: 11.30am – 12.45pm Ages: 8 – 12 years Please complete this Registration Form and return either by email to boxoffice@wexfordartscentre.ie or in person when attending the class. The Saturday Art Club returns this season to offer children the opportunity to learn about a range of visual art processes with a focus on drawing which is considered the most fundamental of all art activities. In a fun environment, children will be encouraged to explore the various methods of mark-making using a range of materials including pencil, pen, paint, pastels and charcoals. Various methods of drawing will also be explored, from looking at basic doodles to applying tone and perspective. Learning to draw enhances motor skills, hand-eye coordination and and confidence, especially when the children see their work develop with every class. Children will also be introduced at a number of key figures from art history as well as the artwork on display in our galleries during the season.The Little Artist Club is facilitated by local professional artists Brid Colloton and Jeni Roddy.
