Finbarr Healy, Finding the Missing Link

Finbarr Healy – Artist Statement & Bio

Two years ago I joined Wexford Camera Club and took up photography. This provided the perfect platform and encouragement for me to develop and learn different photographic techniques. Street photography is what I enjoy most. This genre of photography captures people going about daily life. People are more natural, unguarded and in different moods. At times I’ve watched a potential photograph for up to six months to take a photograph with the person in the right place within the image. Interacting with people sometimes after or occasionally before I’ve taken the photograph is very pleasing, interesting and generates great conversation for both my subject and me.
