The Wexford Campus School of Art and Design (IT Carlow)
Presents;

Tonic
Wexford Campus School of Art and Design (IT Carlow)
BA (Hons) Fine Art Graduate Exhibition
Friday 17th May – Saturday 8th June 2019

Exhibition Opening: Thursday 16th May, 6pm

Alison Bermingham, Sonya Weston & Edwina Byrne

Wexford Arts Centre in partnership with the Wexford Campus School of Art and Design (IT Carlow) are proud to present the annual BA (Hons) Fine Art Graduate exhibition entitled Tonic. The exhibition will open on Thursday 16th May at 6pm and will run from Friday 17th May to Saturday 8th June 2019.
Tonic comprises work from nine graduates who explore themes of presence, sense of place, heritage, societal rituals and the science of expression: the microscopic; colour; expanded painting; the existential self and love. Themes which resonate with the current socio-ecological issues that face us today.
The work is multidisiciplinary, utilizing traditional pliable materials and contemporary digital techonologies to facilitate this exploration. Media includes photography, animation, drawing, sculpture and painting, carefully presented to offer the viewer the opportunity to engage, interact and understand the processes and concepts adopted by these emerging artists.
Tonic is the culmination of work produced individually and colectively over four years. Each artist has produced a body of work that expresses their vision of themselves and their place in the world and, most importantly of all, they each examine in their own way, the role art plays in enhancing our world today.
Join us in celebrating the courage shown by these emerging artists as they begin their journey as professionals.

Edward McGuinness & Richard Walsh

Tonic features work by; Sonya Weston, Ronan Moore, Alison Bermingham, Darragh Fanning, Edwina Byrne, Jamie Sinnott, Edward McGuinness, Laura Flood and Richard Walsh. The exhibition will officially open at 6pm on Thursday 17th May

The exhibition will run in the lower and upper galleries of Wexford Arts Centre from Friday 17th May to Saturday 8th June 2019. For further information please contact Lisa Byrne, visual arts manager on +353 (0)53 9123764 or email lisa@wexfordartscentre.ie.
