My Cultural Heritage documentary
Wexford Arts Centre in association with filmmaker Terence White are proud to present My Cultural Heritage documentary…
Wexford Arts Centre in association with filmmaker Terence White are seeking people living in Wexford of all ages and cultural heritage backgrounds to interview for a film about the diverse cultural heritage in the County.
Closing date for receipt of expressions of interest to participate is Friday 12th October, 2018 5pm.
If you have a story about an object you inherited, a song or a location in County Wexford of cultural significance to you, Wexford Arts Centre would like to hear from you. They are particularly interested to hear from Wexford residents from diverse communities including European and World heritages.
The project welcomes stories about family heritage, which may focus on an artefact or story passed down through the generations, or the creation of a new story about your heritage in present day which you feel should be preserved for the benefit of future generations.
If you would like to be included in this project, please email details about yourself and your cultural heritage contribution to boxoffice@wexfordartscentre.ie, including your name, age and contact number. Please include a short video of yourself or written story of no more than 2 minutes long starting with “My Cultural Heritage is…”. Videos recorded on any kind of camera or mobile device are welcome, and they can be included in the email as a link to unlisted YouTube video or to a file on a cloud sharing platform, such as Dropbox or Google Drive.
All contact information will only be used in relation to the project and in accordance with Wexford Arts Centre’s Data Protection policy.
The project will include up to eight participants from diverse cultural backgrounds and contributors must be available for filming on Sunday 11th November in Wexford Arts Centre.
This project is supported by Cultural Heritage Project funding supported by Wexford County Council and Creative Ireland.
